Overview
Chico is an ironic and surreal magician, often the victim of his own magic. A sort of scapegoat of the world of illusion.
With a lively and sparkling theatrical rhythm, Mago Chico, real name Federico Pieri, brings to the stage conjuring tricks, clownery, shadow puppetry, sand art, soap bubbles and quick-change acts. He makes characters appear simply by changing his hat: a circular piece of felt that becomes everything. He creates paradoxical situations, such as an impossible magic lesson where "take a bandana" inevitably becomes "take a banana".
A show written together by Federico Pieri and Alberto Giorgi, directed by Italo Pecoretti with costumes by Lucia Orsetti. Funny, surreal and hard to forget.
